Introducing Chart.ly - Share Stock Charts On Twitter
Posted on Apr 28, 2009 - 7:15 AM EST
Last friday, at exactly 10am PST, we launched Chart.ly - our latest “rule the twitterverse” venture. Chart.ly has a very simple premise - upload stock charts on twitter and share it with others. Easy as that. Making it any more complex would defeat the purpose of it being a twitter app in the first place.
The idea is all Timothy Sykes. He’s been bugging me since last year to develop a stock charting website where users could upload and share charts with the trading community. We tried developing a wordpress based site - but I just didn’t feel right about it. So we kept that idea in the back burner (along with a LOT of ideas) until a chance rendezvous with Howard Lindzon in Phenoix late last March got them talking again of having a chart sharing option for Stocktwits. As you may already know by now, Stocktwits is THE twitter app to be on if you are a trader or an investor… with real-time tweets auto-updating from over 50,000 members, stocktwits is the perfect solution to keep track of all the latest news and trends in the stock world.
Tim introduced me to Lindzon and his team (@sorenmacbeth and @ppearlman) and we got cracking! We started the project around the 3rd of April and exactly three weeks later, I present to you the beta version of Chart.ly.
Chart.ly is a beautiful website - and I’m not just saying that because I designed it. Look at how active the community is in just 3 days of launch - there are over 200 charts already uploaded and close to a 1000 active users, all in less than a week! It’s a great addition to the Stocktwits community as well - traders can now tweet about stocks and charts all in 1 place, not to mention browse through all the charts that others in community have uploaded. There are charts linked to blog posts, charts linked to message forums, charts linked to press releases, charts being spammed (already!), charts put up to teach, charts on the general market trends etc etc… the list just goes on!

Introducing: StockTradingToGo.com
Posted on Feb 16, 2009 - 3:34 AM ESTWe just launched a new and revamped version of StockTradingToGo.com (STTG) this weekend. Blain Reinkensmeyer, the blogger behind STTG contacted us earlier this year looking for a complete makeover of STTG to fit within a budget. He was very particular and detailed on what he wanted his site to represent - and over the past few weeks, we worked together on designing, coding and tweaking all the finer details of STTG. Blain has posted a detailed blog post on all the improvements we’ve implemented along with screenshots of the old version vs the new one.
If you like what you see and want to give your website a makeover, get in touch with us at 1800 490 0487 (or send us an email) and lets chat. We have a few more projects rolling out this week, along with a brand new twitter based website launching next weekend. Follow me on twitter to keep updated on all the latest happenings and to get a special beta invite to test out our app!
